After meeting numerous women through our outreach who feel stuck in the sex industry and want to make changes, we love that we can offer an opportunity for supplemental income, a new skill to put on a resume, a sense of community, and a stepping stone to better employment.
Our jewelry partnership with Women at Risk International fits perfectly with our hopes and dreams for Our Beautiful Exchange! Following their model with their US Training Center and through this partnership, we have developed this stepping-stone opportunity and there are several ways for you to get involved!
The jewelry is created by the hands of women in our own country – in Central PA – who are diligently working to exchange their previous way of life for a beautiful new one. If you are one of these ladies and would like to be trained and take advantage of this opportunity, please contact us!
We’d like as many as possible to be involved, as this needs to be a community effort! Even if you aren’t a “jeweler”, there are other ways to be involved during these days, and many hands make light work:
- be present on jewelry days to be part of the discussions (we always have significant conversations during our times together!)
- help with food/drinks, making sure we all have a healthy lunch
- help with childcare as needed
- help to oversee and keep our jewelry supplies organized and replenished or help in other ways at the office/business center
Contact us for schedules and more details.
And finally, your purchase of a bracelet or set of bracelets enables us to keep this project moving forward so we can provide this opportunity to more women in the Central PA area.
You may visit our office/business center in Harrisburg or contact us if interested in supporting us in this way. We will also do a presentation and set up a display of jewelry for sale at businesses, churches, schools, and various venues.
Contact us if you’re interested or have questions, or if you would like a jewelry table set up at your event!
